What made for a good presentation?
-I made a powerpoint for my actual capstone and I also made use of it on actual presentation day and I felt like it was useful because I had everything in order.

What problems did you experience?
-I was just nervous and felt like I was over thinking it because the more I practiced and panicked, that's how much more I depended on my note cards and kept forgetting my speech.

How can Capstone be improved? (positive suggestions)
-I felt like it was alright. The person who I was sharing a table with was chill and stayed in his own space, and gave me mine. I was actually practicing on my speech on him, I think that annoyed him. -___-
-Also, I guess it can be improved by having tables set before students go down there, because I didn't know where my table was and it was all crowded, everyone were all over the place and there weren't many outlets for us to charge our computers.

I make some more changes to my website today and uploaded the changes to FileZilla.

The way I am going to do my presentation is that I am going to have my poster up, decorate my table like make the table clothe colorful or something since it has to do with adolescents.

I am going to have candy as give-a-way and present my psa to end it with end product

Today I updated my website.

-Changed my .pdf for Capstone paper because there were some errors
-Added a Bibliography .pdf

*However, my psa video is not showing up when I look at it from our class

End Product: I want to promote self-esteem in adolescents by creating a curriculum for a small group that encourages loving oneself by identifying and taking advantages of inner strengths rather than focusing on weaknesses in physical features. 

March. 08, 2013 - My 4 DivSlides

1. I chose this type of picture because in there adolescence are doing there own thing and feeling free. This encourages and lets the teens know that they can achieve what they want once they set their mind to it because everybody is different in that divslide, and each of them have different goals. 

2. I chose this one because on the side it says "we can do it", which gives you courage when you're down. On the other side, it has a group of children with a teacher. This shows the guidance and team work; such as, working together or doing something that you are good at.

3. In self-esteem, adolescence (kids-teens) start to differentiate themselves from others due to physical features, weight, structure of body and etc. But, I want to prove a point that all that stuff does not really matter because you are still unique and have that special talent that probably nobody else does. Therefore, don't let stuff like that get in the way to your success. 

4. I chose this type of picture because in there kids and a teen are working together and are happy to do what they like. The color    combination is all bright and also the bloomy type of weather kind of expresses happiness, love and freedom.

Everybody is perfect in their own ways. Cosmetology affects how one feels about him or herself in Psychological terms.  While doing research and reading many articles cosmetology has its own reasons to be in use; for example, why women use makeup.Beauty-Is-Good stereotype refers to the opinions that good-looking people have more connections with people and are known to have a good personality. Also, it refers to that good-looking people have higher standards than the people who are not so good-looking compared to others. More overly in theoretical background, the sociology of consumption would be doing more investigation between the body link, identity, and consumption. The body plays a big role between the social classes based on different tastes as the authors investigated.

Today in class professor through all the websites and we discussed what was right in the blog and what was not. Then, we worked a little on the pallet coloring and trying different colors.

Okay so in class we played Website War basically the whole period with our groups
divided into 4.
Towards the end of class when our game was over, the professor told us to open
PhotoShop and try color combinations to see how it would look if we plan to
use them on our website. 

Website Outline

1. My purpose for this website:

Use it for my presentation and have an visual backup to support my

presentation to the judges.

2. My target audience:
The judges,children/teens and my senior capstone professors.

 Do something unusual.

Therefore, I'll be having an variety of color because it involves children's (for which I will use differ. colors)

Today in class, I googled more images to use for my Capstone project. 

Then, I started adding some images & setting/planning how I want it to look like

What kind of images are you looking for that fits your Capstone topic?

I'm looking for pictures that have to do with self-esteem; such as showing goals that one can make and be good at it for positive feedback to oneself and not be so negative.

MONDAY ; FEBRUARY 04, 2013

On Monday, the professor went over everyone's poster in class and we discussed what was missing and what not. After we went over all the posters, we were given instructions for our Capstone project poster and started looking for pictures that we are planning to put on the poster and do the planning.

Poster Practice- "Hormonal Disrupting Chemicals"

I decided to do this poster on birth control pills because many girls think if they take pills they are not going to get pregnant. Well, they're wrong! You can still get pregnant and have an abnormal baby; therefore, might as well not take those pills and keep yourself and the baby safe and healthy. The pills cannot only cause harm to the baby, it can also cause harm to you and your body. In class on Monday & Wednesday, we went over the PowerPoint on how to create a persuasive poster. Also, then the professor went over the instructions and we began working on our project. :)

In my group, which was #2 we were assigned to talk about the marketing profit and details from the P90x website that it offers. P90x has many types of offers and is exclusive because you just keep wanting more and more.

Capstone Topic

I'm not sure if the topic is approved or not, but I'm trying to do something in

Psychology field. Don't know how to describe/explain, but it's more into like how

one feels about oneself and reacts to that. Basically, self-esteem if I put it all in together.

Why I Dislike Capstone?

• Puts alot of pressure on us Seniors
• We are already busy with college applications and on top of that we have to worry about this 15 page essay with an issue and end product.
• Boring!
• Hard, because you have to get it approved by the judges and if they don't like what you are planning on doing, they make you re-do it and make another end product or issue.
• Not easy. It's more then just 15 pages
• Long- difficult
• Alot of work, basically waste of time
